energy efficiency, rehabilitation and reform
The project seeks to turn a summer apartment in Lloret de Mar into the new home of a young couple from Barcelona. It is about transforming the spaces to achieve the necessary comfort for a home throughout the year, improving it energetically and clarifying the uses of the spaces.
It mainly converts a kitchen and a living-dining room into a single space equipped with an American bar and a kitchen that is open and naturally lit like the rest of the room, and the living-dining room is improved with new facilities. and new, more energy-efficient carpentry. The toilets have also been completely renovated and like the flooring of the whole house.
For the kitchen, beech wood treated with flaxseed oil and white Macael natural marble has been used for the counter combined with white furniture, while the hygienic rooms have used treated cedar wood and reused old sinks of marble and limestone.
The reform is part of the current situation of restricting the mobility and reconversion of certain sectors to telework due to COVID-19. However, this situation has become an opportunity for some families to move away from cities to live in more comfortable spaces and closer to the natural environment.
